bow tutorial

my first and probably only tutorial.

how to make a hair bow.

1. cut a piece of fabric about 5 inches by 6 inches.

[depending on how big/long you want the bow]

2. fold it in half and iron it.

or if you are a poor college student like me, use your flat iron

3. sew along both long edges and one short edge.

4. cut the excess fabric off the edges so that when you

turn it inside out, it doesn't bulge

5. turn the square inside out and iron around the endges to keep it flat.

and then cut it to the length you want your bow.

6. tuck in the edge of the side not sewn and sew it.

[i sew the other short side too just to make the sewing look even] 

7. fold it in half and iron it down the middle so

you know where the exact middle is.

8. scrunch it up in the middle and tie a little clear elastic around it.

or thread or basically anything small.

9. follow steps 1-4 to make a tiny middle section to tie around the bow.

10. hot glue the little strip to the middle of the bow.

11. get pronged clip and glue the top of it to opposite side as

the little piece you just glued on.

12. wrap the little ends from the middle piece of fabric

around to the back and glue them down.

13. now you have a bow!
