outdoor life.

lately i've been livin the outdoor life.
we went backpacking last week.
and this week, our adventure was zions.

after having to take our car to the mechanic at the last minute,
we finally made it out of this town and made our way over to st george.

that night we went and saw the little mermaid at tuachan.
GO SEE IT.
now.
seriously it was so good.

now, you see. my family didnt have tickets.
so we had to wait in stand by.

# of people in my family waiting for ticket - 5
2 tickets sold to us- 1 in the 6th row. 1 in the 30th row.
me and britt got them.
we said bye to the fam cause they were all out of tickets.
i say goodbye to britt as we make our way to separate seats.
the play goes on.
its intermission.
i walk up the stairs to meet britt and guess who i see. mom & tanner.
WHAT?
somehow they got seats in like the 11th row.
i ask where dad is.
apparently he is in the 35th or so row.

point of the story is. we ALL saw the play.
if we sat by each other or not, is beside the point.

anywho, back to outdoor life.

we spent the next 2 days in zions & sand hollow.
we hiked the narrows.
and cliff jumped.
cool.

here are some pics.

glad to see tanner uses my bum as a pillow, while i sleep.

i honestly think i got injured on this trip more than my whole life combined.
take a sec and feel for me please.
cause my family sure didnt.

injuries:
1. broken/stubbed/bloody/swollen toe
2. another stubbed toe.
3. big bloody cut on my leg.
4. sat down so hard on the edge of britts cot (trust me, it HURT)...
5. fell to the ground in pain (from cot), layed back and slammed my head
on rocks. where i thought a sleeping pad was at. false.
6. headache while hiking the narrows.
7. brittany made me play comando. saying my eyes would adjust. but they
didnt. literally 4 seconds into the game (with all above mentioned injuries) i take
a hard crash landing to the ground in front of me.
8. leg all scraped up from falling.
9. bruised knee
10. scraped bloody (other) knee.
11. blisters from my chaco's.

i think thats all. there are probably more.
i dont think anyone else got hurt.

were home now.
safe n sound n clean.
feelin good.

and on monday, more outdoor life adventures begin.
i'm off to lake powell.

  2. Kaesi, you know good and well that dad received the most severe injury when he lacerated his back going down the natural rock slide. Shame on you! Your grounded!
